Bike: 06 XB9 CityX

Issue is that my bike is running poor. Up to 3500rpm you cannot tell all that much but after 3500rpm if you get on the throttle its just boggy. Its like you can hear it want to go but there is no power. Sorry for the lack of technical detail on this.

So I hooked up ECMSpy (im still new w/ this product) to see if I could find anything. First thing first is that its not kicking out any errors.

I reset the TPS and AFV. I went out on the bike and for 2-3 miles in the 2-4k range. The first time I did this the bike snapped right up and ran great for like 4 days but then back to the same issue. Since then I have tried to reset the TPS and AFV w/ no luck.

On the tab that shows injectors pulse I noticed that my rear injector is consistently x.2x behind the front injector. My friends XB12 was consistent. Is this normal?

Thanks

first thing I would do is check the static timing. Mine was way off and made a huge difference in performance.

I checked the timing tonight and it was just a smig advanced nothing that make me feel like it is causing my issue. Corrected it anyways, reset the TPS and AFV.. Bike still running really poor.

I also noticed I hava decent glazing of oil in the breather box and filter. How much should there be?

I hate blindly replace parts but looks like thats the next step since I have no clue. Going to start w/ plugs, wires, and air filter (its dirty). If that doesnt fix it I might as well do the O2 sensor then injectors unless anyone here has any other suggestions.

If anyone has a xb9 and ECMSpy and can you monitor your injectors to see if they are even or does the rear lag a bit like I stated above.

Oil in the air box is normal. That's why people install a catch can.

What are the AFV's before those resets?
Changes to ECM (except resets)?
If it's running poorly at 4k rpm; try riding 'steady' for 15 minutes at that rpm; then hook-up ECM'spy and note the adjusted AFV.
AFV as adjusted by bike's ECM during 'closed loop' running will indicate lean and rich running conditions; sorta like reading the plugs.
I'm new to this, too : )
My XB12R, 6k miles, has an abnormal engine: stock airbox is not oily, OEM air-filter shows two pea-sized spots.
Maybe because I ride slowly?
