So I was at a gathering tonight....with some very good friends of mine and my best friend of all. This chief mocks the Buell to no end and straight calls it a POS....not cool. I told him straight up that the metric bikes handle great and are fast but the Buell would hang in the corners no prob....he was awstruck and argued till we were blue in the face...whats the deal with these guys. He has never even driven one and can't make a good assumption. I am just sticking up for what is in my garage...and I am very happy with and proud of my bike. I simply told him if I wanted the same bike as every other jamoke around...I would have bought an I-4....this flared him up even more!!! Keep in mind I am newer to bikes than him and he is selling his Honda 1000RR to get a V-rod and put a turbo on it....a lot of sense that makes to me!

Yes we were drinking!!!

it's gonna be awfully hard to hear your buddy talk shit about your bike when he's so far behind you on his v-rod!

I bought a buell because I liked the look and sound, nothing wrong with that. I've owned jap bikes and they are great. I'm sure I'll own another.

plain and simple....some folks just DON'T get it!!
and they never will! Which is a good reason to believe there will ALWAYS be stupid people on this planet! :-)

I have had jap before, ive rode lots of jap... They are fun, but don't have the same feel as the Buell does.

First time I test rode a Buell, I though holly $%&@ this is very weird...i'll buy it! haha
and now, its nothing but the best bike on the road to me.

ah...damn ricers and there cookie cutters!

When you guys go riding and you get to a destination before or at the same time as him you can ask him what he really means . As a sidebar see how many people look at his cookie cutter and how many look at yours.

"see how many people look at his cookie cutter and how many look at yours"

NO JOKE!!! Go to the International motorcycle show and park with everyone else (all 50 billion other bikes in the lot) and when you come out, sit back where you can see your bike. Now watch how many folks walk past and take a second look.

Did it 2 years back......and made me feel real good! Now to even enhance this good feeling I cranked her up (at that time had the race pipe on her) and even more folks walked my way to check her out!

But as far as actually riding with that dumb ass who hated on your bike....I doubt it will actually happen!
There are way too many folks who can only talk the talk, and fail to walk the walk.
He would probably want to do a 1/4 mile run on a straight and thats about it.

But thats just my experiences!

See...he and I have a very long history and I don't want to make him sound like a bad guy or a squid...he can definitely ride better than me, but to blatantly talk smack is just not right. It was great though cuz we were at a wedding and I had this guy going...and it was his sisters wedding! He and I get into the Firebird/Mustang debate....the Ski-Dogg/Polaris debate....it's always a good arguement! Just thought I'd share with you guys and let yah know I did my best!

On a side note...he brings up racing (organized) and why Buell can't hang and that they have no place on the track. What is the deal here...excuse my ignorance but I don't watch much racing unless it's the Outlaws.

Buell makes the best road/hooligan bikes, not race bikes. Not that they can't hang, but it's not what they're made for. Stop light to stop light they can't be beat. They can handle with the best of them. And you never rip on another mans bike! I don't care how ugly or stupid some ones bike is. That's up there with making fun of somebodys kid, just wrong. Hopefully it was all in good fun. I think he's just scared of the compatition.

Those are SWEET!!! But if I were looking for a new sled I would seriously consider a Dragon along with the Summit. Always been torn between the two but always rode Doo.

yall talk about how much these bike stand out to other bikers but when I was at a bike night a few weeks ago i found bike bike virtualy un noticed instead every one droools over and looks at the cookie cutter i4's that are dropped and streched with lots of shiny crap on it. The only person that noticed my bike was another buell rider and thats mostly cuz of its firebolt front end on a m2.

That's because mouth-breathers are impressed by shiny objects.

I'd rather not have that attention lavished on my bike.

You know when it comes to bench racing, Buells always lose. When it comes to real world street riding, thats when I put the I4's in their place, well behind me, through the twisty shit anyways.

As far as racing goes, the Buells can't hang with the I4's. True. But they aren't trying to either. If the company wanted to they would build an I4, duh. It's worse than apples to oranges. Using your friends ahem...logic, why would anyone buy anything but Lamborghini's and Porshe's ? You can't really expect anyone with any sort of intellegence to compare an air-cooled, pushrod, V twin to an in-line, DOHC, liquid cooled four cylinder. It's just dumb and so is your friend. Buells have "soul", something his junk will never have. Perhaps you should tell him that next time you're bench racing.

Ribeye steak is a better dinner than halibut.

Dark beer is better than that fizzy yellow stuff.

Wine is for wimps. So is "lite" beer.

NASCAR sucks and is a sport for the couch-bound.

Remember the card game that was played by young children?

The one where the deck of cards had Formula One cars on it and listed all the specs from weight to tyre size on it?

The sqids get off on the amount of horsepower their bike makes no matter what revs it has to do to put this power out.

Ask them how much torque the bike puts out and at what revs and they most probably not know because it does not rate a thought amongst the power junkies.

In my opinion the majority of the yet to be educated are the kids playing with cards.

We live and ride in the real world and I do believe we are the grown-ups.

Here are some of my responses to idiots...
"If I wanted the fastest crotch rocket, I would have bought it".

"It is a Harley, I can only buy them at a HD dealer, I'm a member of HOG, it has a Harley engine, Harley spark plugs and I got a HD t-shirt free for buying it".

"No, your Fat boy will not out run it, unless its turbo"

I know your bike has a 96 in it, but a 454 chevy 4x4 won't out run a Mustang GT"

"So, if you have a Chevy truck, you can't wear a GM sweatshirt"

"I like all motorcycles"

" You should have bought a Dyna and with the money you saved went to the dentist".

your more then welcome to use these come backers at anytime when dealing with idiots.
