Any AZ buellers have suggestions of who to take my XB9S to for a new back tire? I am in Chandler but Chandler HD wanted $250 for the tire mounted and balanced.

you could always get the tire off the internet and just have them mount it. They are probably chargin almost $200 for the tire internet could be around $100 depending on what you want

My dealership charges $75.00 to install the front wheel and $112.00 for the rear. I always order tires from the net and bring my own tires in to install. I don't trust anyone else putting the tires on after I had this non-buell dealer put my belt on too tight on my old X1. When my belt snapped a few hours after I got my bike back I realized for trying to save a few bucks I put myself in a bad situation.

There is an top notch independant shop on southern near the rail xcrossing in mesa, theres a cluster of small shops just east of tracks, Think they will mount and balance free if you buy tires there, they were going to charge me 12 bucks each to bring loose tires and rims 6 mos ago. Ended up mounting myself and not balancing, took head shake out that was present since new. that was on my Bandit not XB. Chandler is the biggest joke in valley, try Chosa next time, they are rated in top 25 HD dealers in country.

Chandler Harley for service should be fine...good experience with them. I agree with Bubba...buy the tires online!

Also I heard cycle gear, country club and southern was having a closeout on a set of tires that will fit XB for $159 a pair + install! Check it out at cyclegear.com. don't know if special is same in store.

Chosa quoted $179.95 + tax for the tire free mount and balance. Mounting and balance is usually $79 they said, but they are having a special until Dec 31.

Looks like I may just go with them.

Thanks to all who responded.

On the Chandler HD subject, I am starting to question their competence. Last thing I had the bike in for they didn't fix. Told me all they found was the steering stem was a little loose. I am having the front brake vibration problem at light braking that others here have had. I will have to have Chosa look at that also.

Vibration or Buzz?? I have heard that the buzz is normal until the pads wear in well.

Unfortunately for us in AZ most of the M/C dealers are owned by one company and there main concern is THEIR well being. And they are not only in Maricopa cty, they own most dealers in Tucson and maybe in other cities. It is easier to list the ones they don't own. The Apache Honda group includes 3 dealers, Apache, Az powersports, Champion Honda. Chosa & Buddy Stubs HD are independently owned. Haceinda HD is independent but also useless. Phoenix International Motorsports is good, Canyon honda is independent, the small Italian bike dealer on southern in mesa is also independent. I may have missed one but all others in Phoenix and Tucson are owned by one greedy company who also runs azmotorsports.com.

Ouch. $350 or so for both front and rear mounted and balanced at Chosas. Good thing the mounting and balancing are free.

Any recommendations on motorcycle jacks for the XBs? I need to take the wheels somewhere else next time.

Yeah but I am traveling on and off the next couple weeks and don't have the time to try to do it myself. I plan to get a jack and try it myself next time. This way it will be done when I get back for the weekend.
