What did you use as replacements?
Any photos?

You just put the XB12 S Lighting foot peg mounts on your Firebolt.

Lowers your feet about an inch.
A very important inch for taller riders.

I think American Sport Bike can set you up.
Of course while you are doing it, no reason not to fit some stronger LSL pegs and custom pedals, is there?

Put them on my 9R, same chassis.

Made a huge difference. I'm 6' and it added about almost another hour to my riding comfort.

The pair in a package are cheaper than separate.

I carried a set of XB-S, lower, pegs with me to pick-up my "new-to-me" '04 XB12R.
Then, rode it home, 450 mile or so; didn't think about putting them on.
Put the XB-S pegs on at home.
Didn't notice a difference, but didn't take 'em off.
I'm 6-ft, 185 lbs.
They're a bargain: $25/pair.

I recently put the S pegs on my R. World of difference IMO. Your results may vary.

After I lowered mine, I cut 1/4" off the brake pedal adjuster rod so I could get the brake pedal adjusted to suit.

Put the 1" lower pegs on mine as well. Made a big difference on the pressure in my ankles. I'm 6'2" with big feet. would definitely recommend for taller riders IMO. Used stock bolt and spring. direct replacement. $25.
