I bought replacement mirrors the day before I bought my 9S, so I could change them over straight away! They are a standard mount - I picked up some teardrop shaped chrome jobs here in Oz at US$25 each. Much better looking than the "Mickey Mouse" stock items.

Guys,

Just in case any of you have an S1-S3 model with the rectangular mirrors that shake like crazy. The 02&03 9S mirrors look better and shake a whole lot less. I upgraded my 03 mirrors to 04 on my 9S and put the 03 mirrors on my S3. You will need to cut aproximately 1/4" off of the bolt length or the bolts will stick out of the nut too much also the bolt hole distance is aproximately 1/8" wider on the S3, but I just used a small round file to elongate the uppermost hole and wala they fit perfect and look like they were made for it.

Brion – I hope you meant a 9R instead of an S. I Don’t think putting S mirrors on my S2 will work. My 04 R mirrors are in route.

Kaese,

You are right I have an XB9R I don't know what I was thinking I had S3 on my mind and it got transposed to the XB. If you want to see what they look like I will send you a photo. The smallest I could compress it was to 87 kb which was to large to put here.

I’m happy I ordered the stuff. You had me worried for a while. If you want, try my email at kaese@prodigy.net to see it can be done.

Cunfusion...So Brion, you're saying that Firebolt mirrors will bolt to an S2/S3 with minimal filing? Cost of the Firebolt mirrors?

I don't know how much the 03 mirrors are, but the 04 mirrors are about 4 inches wider and cost around $48 for the pair.
