The turn signal switch is a real dog to operate for me because it protrudes outwardly so much. My thumb has to reach above and over for left signal operation - operating the same while engaging the clutch is very difficult. I've tried rotating the entire body (after removing the locating pin) around to find a best position for my thumb.

Anyone replace the left switch assembly with something other than the stock? If so what are some options. Looks like any left switch assembly for 7/8" bar would work (not concerned with the wiring so much since the wires can be easily spliced).

not trying to be funny here or an ass but why not engage it at a different time intsead of while trying to engage the clutch

The traffic situations around in Washington, DC make it difficult to release the clutch lever fully when going 5 mph. Engaging the gears in neutral is not practical for stop and go situations.

I hadn't thought of that since I live in the country and rarely see the big cities on a bike.
