Is there any way I can lower the heat transfer from the bike to my crotch, and also to the trunk area???

I sometimes keep a camera, cellphone, and my wallet in the trunk.... and the heat messes with the electrical equipment causing the screens to fade, but as soon as they cool they are fine, even once the camera didnt want to start at all!

Also depends on how new your bike is? I had the same heat problem you have.. but after i got my 1,000 mile service and the dealer changed out the oil and what not and the motor is getting broke in more. The heat isnt so bad now.. And yes talk to Odie and grab one of his silver heat shields for under the seat, get a thicker seat buell makes one for $150.00, wear thicker jeans or leather pants, and least but not least.. ya go fast but be safe!

I got the heat shield. It does wonders! It's not that expensive and it's a small investment if you ever want kids or sex again...

Ride spread-eag! I spread my legs out wide to sort of throw the air into my wevos y pene! No bike mod's needed, just a simple idea that may look weird but works surprisingly well!

Welder's glove heat shield fits into some small spaces.

I've never really noticed the heat from the bike until it got colder and I had the Buell Adventure overpants on.

Throw in a fat girl and you can have huevos rancheros, which is good for a hangover.

That's the beauty of cold-weather riding... the heat isn't a problem, it's a feature!

I put a self-adhesive heat shield from Summit Racing on the bottom of my seat, air-box and inside the frame

Indeed...I actually got to use the Thermonuclear Heat setting on my grips this morning. It was a little nippy outside at 6:30!
