Just wanted to know what type of Tire to replace my stock tires with when the time comes? I have PIRELLI DIABLO T on the bike now.. Front 120/70 ZR-17 Rear 180/55 ZR-17 , whats the difference in Pirelli Diablo T, Corsa III, Rosso, Strada,.. what should i go with? and will a Rear 190 tire fit? | ||

Yes a 190 will fit. If I were you I'd go Scorp sync or Corsa III. I love my Scorp Sync's I've read some awesome reviews about the Corsa III. With the 190 you loose a few degree of lean. | ||

I got the scorpion syncs on my bike now, I absolutely love them. Gonna try the diablo stradas for the next round as they are dual compound and should last longer. I will trying the Corsa 3 after that  | ||

I'm running on the Strada's right now. They are tremendously better than the Sync's. | ||

Cool thanks guys ill keep that in mind..one other thing.. how do i detail my tires.. as in make them shiny? All that Armor all, and STP, mothers tire shine stuff says not to use on cycle tires? | ||

Okay on the sides just not on the treads. I use Armor all Leather Protectant on all my plastics and rubber as it tends to sink in and hangs around a lot longer in our Australian heat. (Message edited by Bombardier on October 19, 2008) | ||

At the risk of hijacking the thread, do you remove your front and back rotors when you take your tires to get mounted and balanced? I want to remove the rims myself to save a few bucks. How about the rear sprocket? I think I might try the strada's. I was waiting for the pilot road 2's to be in stock, but that doesn't look like it's ever going to happen. | ||

No leave all that stuff on as you need it balanced with the wheel as well. I just put the Stradas on in place of my worn out Syncs. I love both tires BUT hoping for a little longer life from the Stradas. I did notice that the Syncs seemed to "Hunt" in a sweeper while the Stradas track truer. | ||

Armor All belongs no where on a motorcycle tire. Far to risky just to make a tire look shinny. | ||

I was always happy with my syncs until I tried my michelin pilot power 2cts. Now I realize how poor the syncs were. I know a couple of people who swear by the Diablo corsa III also. My main point to make is there are far better tires than the syncs out there. The 2cts and the CorsaIII wear better than the Syncs too. | ||

Do you mean you'll get more mileage out of them? I find that hard to believe judging by online reviews and the fact I have over 8,000 on my syncs and the back is just now to the wear bars. I'm sure they are great and sticky like everyone says, but super sticky wears out faster. 6,000 miles seems to be the best you can hope for from the 2ct's. The syncs wear "lumpy" as the miles get higher. The handling quality goes away as the miles go up. As the miles got higher the corners were looser and looser to the point of feeling unsafe. Milage improvement is yet to be seen. It will be in close range. I only have 3300 miles on the Pilot power 2cts but so far they are wearing extremely well. I expect at least 8K out of them at the current rate. | ||

So no tire shine on cycle tires? Not even on the sides? Why is that? Too slippery? Gets on the breaks?... Just wondering cause my whole bike looks awesome when clean but the tires just looking out of place when in a bike show.. | ||

You do know how slick that stuff is right? One thing is your bike a show bike and never gets ridden, but I would never put that on my bike. All you need is a little bit to run and get on the tread, and then the first tight corner you get to you will slide like a curling stone. | ||
