I like the look of the streetfighter seat but I hear so many good things about the select seat. I did a search but all I got was this. Your search failed to match any messages or pages on this board. Any advise or real world experience would be great. |

Every ass is different. Buy them all, try them all, sell the ones you don't like. Did that with my Uly, doing it again with my SS. Just because Tom or Steve rode cross country on a slab of granite, doesn't mean you will be able to too. |

That select seat is great, it gives your buns full chance to experience the pleasure of gushes of water ducting right down your keister during rain storms, puddle riding or errant car washes. Dex Read of Chicago Sun said it was "Positively an enlightning and clensing experience, Four stars of soggy bottom wetness, good clean fun for the whole family. Best seat of the year...." Sorry, I swore off sarcasm for my 40th |

For those of us that don't ride in the rain everyday, the Select seat is the only way to go! No sarcasm in my post- I really love the Select seat..but I also rarely ride in the rain. |

It took a little wile to get used to the streetfighter seat. When I realized it's more comfortable with a more aggressive lean angle it turned into a really nice seat. |

I ride my share in the rain. I always run a tail bag though, I wonder if that would stop the rain gutter effect of the select. It would seem to me that the tailbag might fit oddly on the select. I think I will take a ride up to the dealer tomorrow and look at them in person. |

Well it turns out the Buell tail bag fits perfectly over the select seats V notch. I opted for the Select after seeing the two in person. Id also like to point out my positive experience with my local Buell dealer (St. Paul HD Buell). I was really leaning toward the Streetfighter seat so I only had $208 on me. The Streetfighter is $169. After seeing the two in person I wanted the Select. The Select is $199+tax. I told the parts guy that I would just wait and come back friday to get the one I wanted. He dropped the price of the select to $200 out the door so I could get it now. I thought that was pretty cool. BTW I was shocked to see they had more than 10 of each seat in stock. Not that I need that many! |

+1 props for St Paul HD. GREAT parts dept, and sales guys like the Buells. My bro bought his CITYX there, and I've bought tons of parts from them. I'm a loyal fan! I have like 6 HD dealers closer to me than them, and I ride 35 minutes to get to them because they are good! |

If the select seat pushes you back farther in the seat, does that straighten out the knees a little? |

Not so much. It puts you back into a position where your no longer dry humping the airbox. |
