Just curious about what types of bikes my fellow Buell riders have owned in the past. It seems a lot of the guys I have meet, that we have owned a least a few of the same bikes. I'll do my best to remember the year and order of the bikes I have owned....84 honda xL125,86 honda xr600r,89 honda cbr600, 84 honda nighthawk 700sc,88 honda cbr1000 hurricane(owned 2 one was stolen)88 honda hawk 650gt, 2001 suzuki sv650, 99 suzuki tl1000r,98 suzuki tl1000s, 2003 honda hawk vtr1000,2001 Buell m2 cyclone,99 suzuki tl1000s(yes 2 tls's)2003 honda rc51,2005 buell firebolt xb12r,2006 triumph speed triple 1050(I would say fastest light to light bike I've owned) 2002 harley night train, and my current 2005 Buell cityx. | ||

Froggy - my first streetbike was a Yamaha 80 (2-stroke) - I put on knobbies and a tuned pipe... back in 1970. Before that was a Taco minibike(5HP Briggs and Stratton) After that: Suzuki 90, BSA441 Victor, Honda CB360T, CB125, Yamaha RD400, Honda VF500F, (insert 20 years here) - Buell S3, Buell XB9, Suzuki DRZ400, Buell XB/Blast (project) Interesting ... verry interesting | ||

i've owned 23-25 different M/C's (mostly dirt bikes) , 81 gs450es, 81 gs650e, sr500, 85 fj1100,94 R1100rs, and 03 xb9s. and the buell has to be the most entertaining one of all ! | ||

I started riding back in 1962 on a then old flathead BSA 250. Rode British iron until the Japanese revolution, so switched over sometime in 1970. About 7 years ago switched to a Sportster, that was fun, but weak on brakes and handling, so now I ride a Buell XB12Ss and a Honda VFR800A. I like the Buell better, but the Honda with ABS and fairing is better in the wet and cold stuff. The English stuff was fun too, but not all that reliable. I have owned well over a dozen bikes, and ridden many more. It's a great life! | ||

Really put a date on myself with this but here goes. 70 Bridgestone 175 Hurricane twin scrambler 69 Yam CT1 175 enduro 71 Kawasaki 350 Avenger twin first street bike at age 16. 69 BSA Rocket 3 750 Dad installed stroker & big bore kit now 999cc.Lucky to still be alive. 74 Norton 850 Commando-still miss that bike 74 Yam 250 mx m/x career began. 75 Yam 250 mxb mono shock.Local sponsor. 77 yz 250d & 77 Yamaha xs 750d street 79 yz 250f 81 yz 250h 82 yz 250 j water cool.Career ending injury Took a break to get married and have kids(nobody warned me).Time pass. 02 yz 250 cross country racing. (2) 05 ktm Pro seniors 5yr old son 03 ktm 65 06 ktm 65, kid now expert class,2 bad injurys in one year were done. 02 yam R6 pull motor, install in kids mini sprint.Kid now 10 can't race it till 12. 07 Buell xb12s.Now I'm having fun. | ||
