OK so while on ebay I found this steering stabilizer I know I could make it fit but do you think it would be safe/worth buying and modding?????

Interesting..... I was just about to plunk down the cash for the GPR stabilizer. Looks like it will take some fab work though. I remember a while back there was an old gixxer stabilizer made fit an XB with a trip to the hardware store. Hopefully somebody knows what it takes and we can use this as a cheap alternative!

ya well theres tons of these and others like them on ebay so hopefully...I might just bite the bullet and fab it up myself. I am ase master tech certified and been building hotrods for years which includes alot of fab work so?

Go for it brother! I think I'll give it a try as well. At least make an attempt to save roughly $400 over the GRP unit. Let us know how it goes on your end.

Good idea all. I'll start on one myself too. Any body here remember the old friction type had the big knob on top of top triple clamp? BSA, Norton,Triumph I remember they worked. Adjustable too. What happened?
