I have an 08 XB12S. I was wondering if I would have to change the throttle, brake, and clutch lines to put clubmans on. I have the original bars on right now. Any help would be great.

i have clubmans on my 9sx. no new cables needed just some rerouting. you will also need some risers for the bars to clear the fork tops...i'll throw up some pics when i get home from work. pic in profile but not a very good shot of the bars.

I think the bars I found in the link above will work without risers. They have a much wider center section. The listing even states that they'll fit around the fork legs.

Here is a link to Ustorque's bike with details of the homemade riser he used.

Thanks for the info guys. I am going to have to put this project on the back burner as I am getting sent to Iraq for a year. I guess it will be a project for next winter. I remember reading the post about Ustorque's mod. It's where I got the idea, but I couldn't find it when I searched.

I shall try. I have to come home. I would hate to leave the lightning a widow. And your welcome.
