Hey all, I'm not sure where to post this--I thought there used to be a section about dealerships. I'm trying to trade in my 2008 xb12r for a 2006 or 2007 xb12x, but my local dealership evidently thinks that firebolts and anyone who owns one should be treated like dirt now that the 1125R is out.

They said they would buy my bike for $6500 but when I went home to get the title and came back they had changed their mind. When I spoke with the owner about it, he notified me that they weren't buying anymore bikes (despite the manager verbally agreeing to buy mine already) and said "If you don't like it, you can move or buy a car".

I then tried to trade it in for a new 2007, and what they offered me was $6500 for my bike and the 2007 xb12x for $11,795. Note this is $295 above MSRP for an 2009! Making it a $5295 difference in price.

Can anyone recommend a dealer in the northwest that perhaps has better respect for its customers? I am in the Boise, Idaho area.

I live in Hermiston, Oregon. The closest dealership to me is 30 miles north in Kennewick, Washington. I've been having very good luck so far with a dealership I just started shopping. Latus. They are a sponsor of this site and seem to speak Buell fluently. I do all the work I can myself, which is all of it since the warranty ran out, so my business with Latus so far is parts only - mail order, online. Both purchases were easy and efficient.

Legend Harley. I would expect cityxslicker to be posting on this thread any time now.

Brian(Cityslicker) and Legend Harley in Bremerton, Wa are sponsors here. I have also had luck with Downtown Harley in Tukwila, Wa. I worked with T.C. and Ronel there.

Shumate in Kennewick has treated me great, and cheerfully mail orders parts. I'm still waiting on parts I ordered from Birds of Prey last year. Guess where I will buy next time.

I've bought 4 new bikes from Shumate. 3 were Buells. They have a very talented Buell tech who rides his Firebolt to work daily. Shumate has done all my waranty work on these bikes and has tried to treat me very well.

+1 to Cityxslicker.

If he is too far to travel, they have a sister dealership in Wenatchee.

I had a service performed there recently, and was very pleased.

The small showroom had a good selection of Buell's proudly out front.

Talk to Brian first and see what he can do for you.

Thanks for the support guys. Just looking at the NADA the value is between 6145-6845. So buying wholesale, selling retail, I can see where they are coming from.
However, The book is just a guideline, gotta take into account the mileage, the shape of the bike, the accessories, the maintenance history and if the bike needs any repairs (tires & brakes being the big ones) And of course that you are a REPEAT BUELL CUSTOMER speaks volumes for us. We always try and get our returning brand customers a reason to stay with Buell.

Mason, you have mail

Mason, you have mail, sorry for the delay, but I am coordinating with the Wenatchee shop. You have mail for the deal. Let me know if that will work for you. I will be back in the office on tuesday to answer phone and email. Thanks for giving us the shot. I know the commutes a bear.
