Yes they are the same. Difference is in the face plate.
http://www.pdgmoto.com/ Is a board sponsor and has some cool designs.

Edit: Seems they are currently sold out, you can make your own. There was a thread a while back how to do it.

I have the XB9R faceplate on my XB9SX. It slides right in. Even got it autographed when I was back in E Troy. It was one of the last pieces of blue that had to come off the bike.

Frank,

Are you sure that PDGMoto is a BadWeB sponsor?

They were at one point, honestly haven't seen or heard anything about them in a billion years. Perhaps they did it temporarily?

They've been sold out as long as I can remember.

sounds like Typeone's being officially called out...

seriously, Clinton... i have a printing contact here (Denver) if you would like me to, uh, assist you in going back into production. if you're worried about demand, what is the smallest cost-effective batch you have been able to run?

hahaa, 'called out'? too funny ; )

i wish i could talk openly about stuff here but i can't, guys. no longer a sponsor because i couldnt afford it. cost-effective batch? thats another funny one. i'm just a designer with some side projects, PDGMoto is one of them. there is no one else, just me.

i've done plenty of research on alternate vendors, materials, etc. but the lower cost shops couldn't produce the quality and durability i'm able to get with my current vendor (who also supplies faceplates for HD).

if i wasn't so broke, i'd have stuff in stock but until i can spare the extra dough for more rounds (every tiny change requires new set-up fees on top of unit cost), i'll be sold out.

hope to change that but steady work (i'm also self employed) has kept this on the back burner. there is light, and i do track interest, but the tunnel is long at the moment.

hope this clears things up a bit. i cant say anything more out of respect for Blake and BadWeb rules. speaking of, if i've already said too much, please delete this post, or instruct me to and i will.

as always, i appreciate the continued interest! i still love the Kleen version i'm runnin'

Regards,

_clinton

"...and i do track interest..."

Consider me another interested member! I've seen your site many times, wishing I could buy one. :'(
