My speedometer died on me today. I've searched and read threads about it. It's probably the sensor, but I have a question. I've noticed from time to time that my speedometer would jump around a bit then go back to normal.. Not sure if that would mean it's not the speedo sensor and it's something else or what?

Just bought a battery less than a month ago. The speedometer sweeps when key is turned to on, bike starts, moves, shifts fine, makes tons of noise, scares children and old ladies. The speedometer just doesn't work.

Partially broken wire?

I just replaced my sensor. It's pretty straightforward but if nobody has been under the sprocket cover, take pictures so you can route the wires properly.

You can find the thread by following the posts on my name.
