This is somewhat just a vent, but advice would be much helpful. Well on my way home, if you can call it that. I was leaving out from work so I did the usual put helmet on yada yada, got on the bike and went to start it and she fired up like usual.... Until, she died. So I tried to restart.. nothing but starter. So I went against my better judgment and twisted the throttle ever so slightly while starting and it did. So I began to ride off get to the stop sign, pull clutch and she died on me again.... Anyways, I have been using ecmspy since the beginning of summer, got my map to be perfect for summer riding, it's getting a bit nippy out so I just assumed it's running too rich. So I get home, plug up ecmspy and the afv was at 94. So I was right, I loaded the stock eeprom back started it up to find that it ran like shat....Pure stinky un-harmonic poop. I have seemed to misplaced my allen wrench to do a tps reset, I'm assuming that is the cause for the low low idle despite having stock map and 100% afv set. What do you think? |

I would put money on a tps reset fixing that problem. My 12R never idled well cold with the race ecm. I rode it for about a year fighting a mild off idle stumble and occasional intake coughs until i used ecm spy to reset the tps... Viola! Like a whole different bike! Track that allen wrench down and you will be back in business. |
