I've picked up some brighter globes on Ebay, and was wondering if anyone knew the quickest way to fit them....

Take the front shield off then you can get right in there.Good time to check the horn wire for rubbing too.

If you have to take the head light fixture out do the follwowing
1. remove the bug screen
2. Find a torx scredriver that will fit thru the side aluminum hole on the bracket (you will know what Im talking about when you see it).
3. Remove the 2 screws on either side of the light fixture
4. Remove the bottom screw that adjusts the light fixture up and down range.
5. Unplug the wiring harness, this can be a pain the first time because it has a plastic clip/mounter.
6. do what ya gotta do to the light fixutre.
7. Put the parts back.
I found that I could use a SAE Allen wrench to fit in the hole since none of my torx fit in there right.

Hope it helps, what bulbs did you get?

Austin,Torx in the tool kit and a box end wrench or pliers for more leverage. After I cussed my Craftsman Torx set for being to big,I looked in the tool kit.:) I would like to find a screwdriver torx that would fit thru that hole though.

Yeah - i had a few probs with the size of the holes. But got there in the end.

Austin Rider - i picked up H7 XENON HID HEADLIGHT BULBS (Ebay Item #2436899895) for $7 the pair plus postage. They give a nice white light instead of a yellow caste.
