Anyone here running it? What are your thoughts? I would think that the stiffer front springs would be worth it just for the anti-dive... I need to change fork oil soon, and figure for the $65 it costs, might be worth it? |

I have it on my XB9R race bike. It all depends on how much you weigh. It is a definite improvement over stock. It's also a straight rate spring, rather than progressive. So for street use it might be overkill unless you're a larger guy. If you're of average size and don't intend to do much track use, just a change to a quality fork oil will be a huge improvement. But, for $65 it's a relative bargain. Schmitty |

Andy, the fork springs wont work on your bike. The 2003 has 41mm forks, the pro-series kit is for the 43mm on the 2004 and newer XB's. |

Thanks for the input Schmitty. What's the tech behind deciding what fork oil to use? Pete, I understand that. Didn't ask for my bike. I have looked at custom made springs for my bike tho. I too would agree that they seem to be a relative bargain- $65 for new front and a rear spring... Even custom springs run under $100, matched to rider type and riding style. Seems like a helluva deal to me. |

I LOVE THEM...never regretted the purchase. In fact it was my first mod. My riding partner with a Uly did the same and swears by them. |

I run the pro-series kit and it's much better for me than stock. I put the fork springs in with some heavier oil and it felt great, but the back end felt lacking. I had bought them separate so once I got the rear spring done and finally got my setting right I think its a great set-up for a heavier guy like me-210 without gear...I've never used any other aftermarket suspension mods so I don't have any previous experience to compare it to but the bikes stays where I want it to much better now and has become a real gas to ride on the street and track. |

I'm about to change my oil and would really like some input on what kind of oil to use. I weigh 173 with out leathers and a helmet. Thanks |

I would check www.racetech.com or www.traxxion.com . I went through Traxxion Dynamics and they use Maxxima fork oil. Race Tech has their own branded fluid. They will be able to tell you which weight is right for you. When I say quality I mean anything that doesn't say Harley-Davidson on the bottle. It's just to generic and heavy for a sportbike.
