Got my replacement brake light from XB Lights and just wanted to share how much BETTER than stock they are -- and what a joy the company is to deal with.

Tragically, the most fun I've had with the Firebolt in the last six weeks is installing this light -- thanks to a stretched ligament in my right shoulder.

Just wanted to share, this upgrade is WELL WORTH THE MONEY.

OUCH! is right, Glitch.

Like McCain, I can't even raise my arm above my head -- albeit for far less noble reasons.

Stupidly, I popped the ligament while lifting something in my yard. I am, alas, a stooge.

do you have a clear or red lens? i have the crappy CA light (came on the bike). it's barely adequate, but i use lots of hand signals and make sure i've got plenty of room around me at all times because i do not trust that others will see it. there is NO WAY i would put a clear lens over it- you wouldn't even see it. i'll buy an XB lights setup eventually- after owning the CA light i can tell you it is worth the extra money to buy an XB LIghts setup!

Got the red lens. Would only go with the clear if I was equipping the bike with some "spinner" rims...

if you doing integrated turn signals I'd say go with a clear lens. if your just doing a brake light, i'd go with the red.
But its really up to the person.
Everyone likes different looks!

I can do custom color lenses, but havent worked the bugs out yet...

here is a blue one I installed for a short ride. looks okay, just not my cup of tea...
This lens would look better on the clear blue plastics.
And is NOT DOT approved!

I went with the clear lens (but i do have spinners, jk)

and I also went with a 3 strip setup, instead of the traditional two.

Very satisfied with my product, very bright at night. I can see the glare out of the corner of my eye when I am riding.
