Author Message   Fastxb12r Posted on Monday, September 15, 2008 - 05:24 pm:        Well I got it back and assembled but not done yet.I still need to finish some wiring mods and paint my motor case and heel guards flat black.I also blacked out the front fairing/gauge mount.It is hard to really see all the pearl affects in pics but it has a ton of frost blue pearl and a little silver pearl for contrast.I plan on taking the tank cover,rear tail and face to daytona this year and have some old school pinstriping in the amber color for color contrast done by a very talented "older" guy who I see there every year.I also am putting the buell logo's back on the tank as it needs more amber. So honest opinion please Love it OR Hate it. Cause of the blue hew in the white, it would look gorgeous. But it looks phat as it sits, great job! Would U mind discosing what (ballpark) it cost you to repaint? I amagine since its a custom paint mix it is a little more than getting just a basic color on a bike, but Im wondering how much it cost to paint bikes.   Fastxb12r Posted on Monday, September 15, 2008 - 08:51 pm:        Well it really didnt cost me anything as me and a friend did it at his shop.But the only cost is materials which we already had but for you to buy them at the paint store it would be....Blue pearl=$70------clear coat with hardener around=$50------ white paint around=$30----- and primer=cheap...............................BEING IN THE BUSINESS PRICELESS...J/K couldnt help myself. Plus you would have enough left over you could probably paint 2 xb's with this paint.   Domindart Posted on Tuesday, September 16, 2008 - 12:14 am:        Thanks for the tips. I really did it because I was sick of the plastic.It seems to get alot of fine line swirls and is a pain to polish as oppose to paint. BADS1 its amazing how close of a match my paint is to your pic spot on.
