The difference between the 9 and 12 is pistons, connecting rods, and a few other pieces.

Mary Anne all the way! Any woman that will make banana cream pie for me is a winner in my book!!!

While I was out running around this morning I stopped by the dealership. They still have the XB12s and Ss on the floor but have not uncrated the Scg yet. I'll swing by there every week or so until they do.

While I was there I got to talking to a guy that told me he had a Lightning. We looked at the SS together and I told him I was thinking around about one and he said that I should go for the Sporter instead, pointing to the Nighster they had on the floor. Don't get me wrong, it's a cool bike but he was trying to tell me it would go through the turns just as fast as the XB12. I don't freakin' think so. I was polite and didn't laugh in his face.

He seemed like a known character to the dealership personnel but I remain unconvinced of the sportster's cornering ability compared to an XB12 of any flavor.

The Nightster sits too low to lean much. You would drag everything trying to keep up with a XB. And I don't think those tires will help much. I like the way they look, so I hopped on one. Would have been a terrible ride, with my knees blocking my view and all.

I have to admit just to make sure I went by the local Honda, Kawaski, Suzuki, Brand X, dealership today too. I looked a a bunch of rice bike and for the most part was completely underwhelmed. The only possible thing I saw that I liked was a new 2007 Honda 919. Wan't real heavy and the ergonomics were just about what I was looking for. Fit and finish were typical Honda which mean pretty good. It would do in a pinch but sitting on it doesn't give that adrenaline rush like an XB does.

Does anyone know anything about the 919s? All I know is that dropped the line for 2008.
