Just some pictures from a small ride today to Lewiston, ID and Spiral Highway.

Early morning meet up

At the top of Spiral highway some 100+ miles into the ride.

Ready to attack. Thanks random cruiser rider for the shot.

Sitting at Effies Burgers, we were lead there by a local friend of one of the group, these burgers were literaly the size of a plate and easily 4 inches thick. Damn good eating too.

One of the last stops of the ride, we stopped to wait for one of the group who had fallen behind.

All in all it was a good ride, Spiral Hwy was all too short, I thought I had lost my wallet at the spot of the last two pics, thinking I would have to ride back and ride Spiral two more times didn't really break my heart(even being some 40miles away at the point), then I found the wallet.

Nice collection of bikes- I'm partial to your XB (matches mine) and the Triumph Daytonas (955 & 675). Looks like you had a great ride on a beautiful day... I'm jealous.

Very nice. Looks like a good mix of bikes, .... but the Buell is the nicest!

You lucky bastard! Looks like some sweet riding! Drizzle and light rain here in the Seattle area - wishing I was out cruising with my buddies.

For the main event of the ride, I made sure they all saw Buell tail on the way back up Spiral Hwy. It was a blast of a ride, minus the one pull over of the day, no tickets though, just a stern warning stemming from a phone call, apparently we pissed off a woman in a BMW when we passed her.
(think it was her anyways, she punched it and tailed us for a while and disappeared about 5 minutes before we were stopped)

A few more pics from yesterday.

These last three pictures are from a lookout point at the top of Spiral Hwy. The hair pin in the last picture is a lot tighter than it looks with some serious banking around the corner, it was great fun. Spiral is about 6 miles of these types of corners, most with Elevation changes, you drop approx 1/4mi. from top to bottom.

You're really making me hate living in Florida (famous for having "11 Turns in 318 Miles"), but at least we've got year-round riding in relative comfort. I've been saying for years that if I win the big lottery I'm going to build some twisty roads with elevation changes out in a field somewhere, and charge people to ride on it. Until then, it's a 6-7 hour ride to N. Georgia/N.C. for the really fun roads.
