Does the muffler mount to the bike with just that rear strap? If so, then does anyone else question the durrability?

It looks like the mounting set up Force used on my S1 system - lasted under 2,000 miles - but they did replace it for free with one that has held up well.

Look at how a new Force XB system mounts - very solid. It seems like they learned from their previous system and have made great improvement.

ok until I can get this thing posted here ya go I'll do my best to describe it.
overall it ain't too bad but....it does lose torque down low but gains up high. more a top end pipe than a broad smooth band.

at 2k it is down 14 ft/lbs on torque
at 2.5k it is down 12ft/lbs
at 3k it is down 5 ft/lbs
at 3.5k it is up 2 ft/lbs
at 4k to 5k it is up 3 to 4 ft/lbs
at 5.5k it is up 5ft/lbs
at 6k to 6.8k it is up about 4to 5 ft/lbs

HP
at 2k it is down 5 hp
at 2.5k it is down 5hp
at 3k it is down 2hp
at 3.5k it is up 1 hp
at 4k to 5k it is up 2 to 3 hp
at 5.5k it is up 5hp
at 6k to 6.8k it is up 6 hp

as soon as I can get it posted you'll see it. Kinda what I thought it might do. Kinda looks like the d&d pipe down low but better than the d&d up high.

Brian,

I think Buell explained it the "right way" by calling it the race kit. You spend a lot more time at high rpm when racing, but for the street, it is not what most people want.

I guess you could call yours the Drummer All-around Balls Pipe.

Sam,

Yes, I'll be here for a total of 8 months, in three different trips. I'll be back in nthe States for good in early July of '04.

Hopefully when I come back I can get my bodywork, Drummer, and horns from you so I can finally get this bike looking the way I want it to!

Bryan

I guess I wonder who rides these things at 2500 and 3000 rpm? I always seem to be at least at 3500 and 4500...

For appox $280 bucks. I think a little over 6 h.p.is well worth the investment.Jardine believe's the bike is a little lean. On Tuesday my local Buell dealership is going to see if they can make it run a little richer. They we will dyno it again to see if we can get some more ponie's out this pipe.Plus the sound this pipe makes when twist the thottle is awesome. Yet when crusing on the highway it's pretty quiet.

Donald,

Does it mount to the bike with just the rear strap?

Thanks for posting the dyno results.
