I'm hoping some of you guys can help me out with the fuel maps for the race ECM to suit an 02XB9r. The bike is used on track with an open Remus exhaust, a 12r airbox, K+N filter and is desnorkled. It is having to work harder to keep up with the rice rockets and is now running a little too hot for my liking so I plan to add some fuel in the upper zones of the standard ECM fuel maps using ECMSpy. It would be a great help if I could see the numbers for the Race ECM. I'm due on track on Wednesday so any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks in anticipation

Sorry about this but I probably should have been clearer.
I can get the Race EEprom data from one of the ECMspy sites but when I view it in ECMSpy I can't see the fuel maps. I suppose I could burn the race data onto my stock ECM but I'm a little wary of doing that so I figured I'd just manually change the fuel maps. BTW it looks like my bike is 03 not 02 as I previously stated.

Download the latest version of ECMSpy and it will show you the fuel maps once you have imported the whole ECM unlike the original version.

I burned the Race ECM data onto the standard ECM and the bike seems to run great. I couldn't get any Dyno time so I'm just hoping everything is going to be OK at the track tomorrow. All the figures look good and the bike certainly revs up smoothly and quickly. It appears to run in open loop mode all the time, which I presume is normal for the race ECM?
TPS and AFV are fine as is tickover so what else should I check?

after upload on the 2003 you needed to reset the tps.

if you got the info from my site. cool i think i am the only person hosting the ecm data for backup if you ever loose your stock data.

also note the 2003 bikes are the only year you can directly put race data into a stock ecm as a whole file.

for additional help on getting better fueling speed or other assistance just ask. i'm here to help. those who ask.
dont ask i dont tell.
explanations and help always free!!!!!!!!!!!

Not the best at this computer thing so forgive the question but how in the hell do you do this? I've been to the site and downloaded the "race ecm" data but ecm spy wont open it or just cant find it. Maybe a little walk through for us that arent computer savy might help a bit.

Xopti,
yes I got the data from your site - we've been talking on that 'other forum'. Thanks again the day was a great success. The bike ran right up to the new rev limit and pulled well. The power seems to be located above 5k and I found the bike was not as forgiving if you found yourself in a wrong gear. I found I had to be much more precise and had to change my gear change patterns for the lap - short shifting doesn't work so well if you end up dropping out of the power band. My lap times were almost a second a lap slower but I was still learning the 'new bike' on the last session and I reckon I'll see the benefit next trackday. A better rider would probably go faster straight away.
The TPS was out after the first session so I reset it. AFV remained at 100.
All in all the exercise was a success first day out which can't be bad - many thanks for your help and also to Gunther for the wonderful software.
Froggy,
if you go to the ECMspy site there is an excellent tuning guide which really makes the whole deal pretty straight forward. You can 'fetch eeprom' data from Xopti's site and then 'burn eeprom' to your ecm and your good to go provided you've set your TPS and AFV first and check your TPS again afterwards. My TPS was fine after burning the race data but after a short run it was out and had to be reset.
Even if the software doesn't make you faster it impresses the 's**t' out of the other guys at the track when they see you hooking up the bike to a laptop and you can always say you were having 'software problems' if you have a bad day.- even if like me you don't really know what your doing.
Have fun.
