I got an 07 xb9sx and wheelies perfect in 1st and 2nd with no clutch, just gotta bounce it a couple times in second standing up. I have been trying clutching it up in 3rd and it does come up just has a hard time keeping it up if you dont get to the balance point RIGHT away. Im still working on it and will eventually get it. I just cant go to crazy cuz this bike is also my main means of transportation to work and school. Haha
Keep the rubber side down.

got a 2006 XB9SX for rooster tails on the trails, pea gravel corner slides, creek fjording, mud slinging, rocky hill climbing and mild air catchin after railing the berms.
Maybe not your style of stunting, but it is how we do it where I come from.

i much prefer to use my dirtbike for that sorta thing. i like purpose built bikes. dirtbikes for offroad and street bikes for the street. appears that you have lots of fun though.

agreed.

I'd really like to get the stuntworx cage, kinda pricey for me right now. I do have a bar mounted to the front motor mounts about 3 feet wide that sticks out past everything to keep everything from scraping if i go down.

I also have axle sliders made from a long piece of all-thread and cabinet knobs on the ends. It's round so the bottom of it self-centers onto the axle, kinda like this:

i really like the ingenuity ya'll are using in your bikes. cheap, and easy way to stunt without hurting the bike. i still think that ill go with the stuntworx cage as i am essentially still a beginner and want all the protection that i can get. lets keep this thread alive and keep the suggestions coming

Nevermind, I found it. I wish they would post pics of their cages on Lightning models instead of just Firebolts.
