I've got an STT with the white plastics, and I'm thinking it needs some white at the tail end to balance it out (I removed the sideplates). I'm thinking about painting the tail section white. Has anyone else done this. Any pics or photoshops? Thanks. |

If no one else can jump in w/photoshop, ect, maybe some water-based paint (like poster paint?) and slather some on? Then stand across the street and see how it looks? If you like it, then wash it off and do a real paint job. If it doesn't look good, it still just washes off. |

I can photoshop it for ya... but I can't find a pic of a STT with out the side plates... Can you post a pic of your bike or can someone post a pic of one with no side plates so EZ_rider can get a good vision of what it would look like... (Message edited by svtcali2000 on August 12, 2008) |

Svtcali2000 - Thanks for the help! Here's a couple that I took today. Not very good quality, but worth a try. Take your pick:

Here ya go.... I forgot that color changes from black to white don't come out too well in photoshop... its not the best but hopefully it helps.... if its any other color I can change the color of stuff and you wouldn't even be able to tell... here is a photoshop I did of what I plan on doing to my bike, XB12Ss...

Excellent - Thanks Svtcali! I think I agree with Buellinachinashop also - the rails would look better white. Any chance you could post one up with white side rails also? Appreciate the help!! |

no problem... that's why you photoshop twice, paint once...

Hmmm,, too many choices. Not sure I like all the white or not. I want something to break up all the black in the back, but I dunno... Thanks Svtcali for the photoshop help! |

Just paint the 'grater insert white? That may look cool and help break up all the black. |

It'll be more work, but you can try painting the swingarm white. That would do much more for the looks than the cheese-grater. |

I would definitely recommend a white chin spoiler, will carry the white seat rails forward, visually. sort of like my old bike:
And more like Duane's bike posted above by LoneXB (Message edited by gentleman_jon on August 13, 2008) |
