I'm sure some of you will laugh at what I call a "distance", but this past Saturday I left home just outside of Cartersville GA and rode to Waleska, Tate, Dawsonville, and then stopped for coffee in Dahlonega. Turning around, I headed back by way of Ellijay, crossed over Fort Mountain into Chatsworth, then came on home straight down HWY 411. The weather was crystal clear, with highs hovering in the mid- to high 80's, though I didn't even get started until 5pm, so it was beginning to cool.

That's the MOST fun I've ever had on my bike. I dunno why it's taken me 2.5 years to cover ground like that. I'm originally from Chatsworth, and it was an absolute blast to come across that mountain. Mike (xopti) has been helping me out with a bit of tuning, and the Ss is really starting to purr while cruising. These bikes really are fantastic. I have only the tiniest hint of a chicken strip remaining on the left side of my new Contis.

I was riding Ft. mountain Sunday also. We got there around 9am and rode the mountain for about a hour. I was working on adjusting my suspension and made adjustments at every stop . On our last pass over the mountain I found the sweet spot. It felt like the planets were in line, the birds were singing and the bike rode perfect.Best ride ever. Even my friends on the metric bike were impressed as I pulled away. I live about 45min from the mountain and try to make a trip every month or so. Shoot me a line the next time you are headed this way .

Did a little ride today (175 miles) into the mountains of Colorado with a fellow Bueller. With rides like this, every ride is like the first time.
