Anyone try these out yet? I know a whole bunch of you are Pirelli faithful, but the dealership I am going to buy from gets way better deals on Dunlop (20-30% off) than Pirelli (5-10%). I would like to try a dual compound in hopes of getting a little more mileage without sacrificing the cornering grip and this is the only one Dunlop offers.

I am running Dunlop Quals and have been looking into the road\smarts...look to be about the same price, but better suited for commuting

Me too.

I just wish I knew a bit more about them.

The only test I have seen was done in the rain. Apparently they are great rain tires, but I wonder how they compare to the Qualies from the point of view of construction, size, profile and dry pavement handling at a fast street pace.

Anyone know of any more recent test, especially comparison to the Qualifiers?

I just ordered the Pirelli Diablo Stradas. Dual compound also. Went back and forth about the Dunlops and figured I'll give the Pirellis a try. We'll see in a couple weeks if they're any good.

Aren't those more than the syncs? The tread design doesn't look like it would disperse water as well as the pirellis, but I'm absolutely no expert.

I'm on the Diablo Stradas. I love them.

I'm at the end of the life cycle on a set of Diablo Stradas. They were great but have gotten to that point where the front feels heavy and want's to "flop" into turns.

Recently acquired a set of Pilot Road 2's for my BMW. I'm totally sold on em'. Repeated trips to the Gap for the past few weekends have convinced me to put em' on the Buell. The dual compound thing works really well. (at least the sticky side does, it's too early to tell if the middle's gonna last that much longer.)

Now it'$ ju$t a matter of time before I get em' on there.
