I am about to hit 30k on my XB9s. Not bad for working from home. It's been quite reliable. I've gone through 2 sets of wheel bearings...that's all, no other issues to speak of. I have to say, no other motorcycle has held my interest like my Buell & I've owned quite a few.

For those of you that have passed 30k, 40k, 50k, etc. Is there anything that I should inspect or replace? Are there any parts that are likely to wear out from high mileage?

How did you notice the wheel bearings going bad? Were there any symptoms or did you just notice while changing tires?

Check motor mounts, belt, rotors, brakes and the such. You might want to go over the entire bike and put a wrench on everything just to make sure nothing is loose.

When the first set failed there was a noticeable wobble in the front, those were replaced under the recall. For the second set, when I took my hands off the bars the bike would not track straight (I found out that one of the bearings was bad). I wasn't sure what the problem was. When balancing a new front tire, I could feel roughness in the bearings. Now it tracks straight as an arrow again.
