Tried adjusting my clutch today, slackend up the cable all the way, and turned the screw counterclockwise till it bottomed , put spring back on and pumped three times and then adjusted slack. Everything works fine no slipping or anything but the clutch releases at the end of the travel on the lever. The only thing i can think of is that it says to turn till it "lightly" bottoms, i turned it till it bottmed. Any suggestions?

you turn it til it lightly bottoms out, then turn it back the other way 1/4 of a turn

looks like you missed a step

ok just did it again and only went ccw until it lightly bottomed then back the 1/4 turn(i did that 1/4 turn before just didnt mention it sorry)) Other then being about half a turn difference on the screw itself its still engaging towards the end. I guess it doesnt really bother me but it seams to bother my dealer whenever i take it in saying im going to wear out my clutch. What happens if you go ccw too much on the screw? Is it just overloading the bearing?
Now that its all adjusted should my clutch lever actually snap back into place? when i grab the cable and pull i get the right amount of space but ive never gotten it back from the dealer and had it feel like this, guess im just paranoid that i screwed something up, had the dealer do all the work on my first buell and im doing it all on this one, lol i mean its really got some force when it snaps back (im just a little guy ; ) thanks for letting me think out loud.

but the clutch releases at the end of the travel on the lever

That's kinda the way they recommend they be adjusted. I don't care for it on a cable clutch, but I'm stuck with it on my V-Rod with a hydraulic clutch. The 'trick' for adjusting the cable clutch on a Buell (tuber at least and probably applicable to a XB) is to make the cable adjustment a little on the slack side. The only drawback (on a tuber from my experience) is that the clutch lever is usually loose enough to rattle a little bit.

The 117,000 miles on my S2 (near due for it's second replacement clutch) tells me all is copastetic...

interesting... mine starts releasing when the handle is about half way out... full engagement right before its fully out. Makes for very smooth starts and shifts. I can't stand it when it feels like nothing... nothing... noth.. GRAB.
