>>>Brian, a good part of the Goodwill deal falls upon the dealer to present the case to Buell properly.

You are begging for my old lecture pal.

Just got in and responded to few emails -- glad to see everyone's fired up.

Court, give me an address and the Operation Iraqi Freedom /Operation Enduring Freedom momento is yours -- gratis for services rendered.

Brian, I will see you this week. I don't know which day but I will be there bali-bali.

Who said end of the riding season? I flew through Chicago yesterday, and subsequently was stuck @ the airport for freaking hours, and it was beautiful. It's still dark in the greater Pumpkin Center metro, but I will test the waters as soon as the wife goes to work and the kids go to school.

I guess I should start looking for a job this week? Yea, right! Maybe next week or when it does get too cold to ride -- if it's not snowing I'm riding. Can't sleep, changin continents, time-zones, Buell in the barn calling my name? I'm heading to the barn right after I post this to change the oil in the M2. I will come back in the house and make up a great big old honking NC breakfast (eggs, biscuits, livermush, grits) put the family out the door and go straight to Black Snake road to shake me and the bike down.

Like a kid at Christmas. I thought this day would never get here. If you're close call me (704) 472-1644 and we will ride -- I'll tell the wife you're interviewing me for a job or something ;)

It's all good in North Carolina!

Greg

The livermush was outstanding on a big huge buttered up biscuit -- that's eating. Black Snake was as good as ever and nice and dry. I was way off the mark, but the bike was running great and it turned in to a great couple of hours. I never did make a good pass where I was feeling comfy with everything -- need some time in the saddle I guess?

Livermush -- That which provides nourishing sustenance to all those indigenous creatures of of this part of the Carolinas. If you wash it down with a ice cold Sundrop you will slowly find yourself approaching a state of nirvana.

It's actually some kind of WhiteTrash delicacy that is 98% cornmeal with ground up spices and pork livers. Up North they have a similar product called Scrapple -- a poor imitation, but edible.

I can dig the chorizo but haven't a clue on the wheat grass (sounds way to healthy.) If you're far enough west you could promote fish tacos?

I was there for my 10k service when it was delivered, unfortunately it was Dave's day off and I couldn't persuade anybody to open the box for a peek.

I'll have to find another reason to run up there before the snow flies. Hell, maybe I need to find an excuse to run down your direction, extend the riding season.

I can but I won't ....
ok just a little bit, yes its gutted but it is more than that. I will tell ya it took 3 months and close to 50 dyno runs to get it right. With the race ecm and filter it out performed the race kit and turned the power band into a very smooth power delivery.
if you look at the thread "theres a new pipe in town you'll see the dyno charts and pics, or maybe the charts are in this thread, I can't remember for sure.
if you want one I can help ya out

Bubba,

Just saw the Drummer that you sent Dave. I think it looks great, but they haven't put it on anything yet. Can't wait to hear / ride something with it. I'm sure they'll have it going this next week and the Iowa Farm Mafia will give it's official report.

Curious...When you replace the stock exhaust on the 12 series with a after market one, how do you overwrite the exhaust flap? Is it simply disconnected, and/or is a new ecm in order?

Just a few questions.
1. How would you describe the sound of the DRUMMER?
2. Any sound bites in store (anyone in houston with a drummer)?
3. Any duel exits in the future?

Bubabuell you really don't over ride it you disconnect the cable thats connected to the stepper motor up by the airbox that also runs through the frame to the muffler.Pull the cable completely out. Then you'll need the race ecm, K&N airfilter and whatever aftermarket muffler you would like. Then all you'll need is the tps reset. Then your set.

I just put the Drummer on today and took it for a test ride;

1. easy installation, bolts up just fine.
2. great rumble down low, sounds like a stocker on steroids. Reminds me of a Ducati w/pipe.
3. still sounds good at mid & high rpms without making my ears bleed.
4. no annoying "popping" sound on deceleration as other pipes
5. and the best part; pulls smooth & hard thru entire RPM range! The dip I had on the D&D is gone. Very impressive!!!

This is the pipe I have been waiting for! Thanks Bubba. I can not believe how smooth this thing is.
If you don't have this pipe yet GET ONE NOW!!!

see uncle bubba ain't a liar. I am glad you like it. I knew you would. It does make the bike just that much more special in my eyes.

kevin
he put it on an xb9s....

so who wants one we have 3 ready to roll. I can say this out of the 5 so far There has not been a bad thing to say yet. So I am a proud papa.

buellster
no duel out lets in the future. we like this and it works,

thanks deeply to the brave ones that have given us a try. Sometimes things are made better and with more care from a small outfit. (a yankee and a hillbilly) than by a company. Remember this pipe was made by 2 guys that ride and love there buells.

as we speak Dave and The iowa farm mafia are putting a drummer on a 12 right now and by the end of the day we will have numbers and weight differences.
he dynoed the stock 12 and he said it had 88 hp on their dyno so we will go from there. All I am hoping for is still smooth power and small gains because the 12 pipe does work. So what we are used to seeing in gains may not be there. But I bet we have a little gain and still smooth power and we will probably lose 10 to 12 lbs over the stock can. and of course you'll have the sound.
stay tuned....
