Curious if the R bags could be made XB-friendly... or if I should be looking closer at the after market for some decently reflective bags with rain covers. Or hard cases.

Does the zumo have a nice way of hooking into/clamping onto the bike? Tad less than MSRP seems nice.

I got a set of Oxford soft panniers for the last bike I had (GSX1400), and when I saw the bags for the Long, I was quite disappointed. So, I tried the Oxfords, to see if they fit, and they do.
And they're good bags too.

They look good, not a big fan of how they doodled the names on there, but the bags themselves look pretty clever.

Kinda leaning towards hard cases for the occasional long trip, but if I get into weekend touring, I may want something a little faster to mount w/out leaving brackets behind.

If you have the XB9SX that's listed in your profile, the Zumo will come with everything you need to mount it to the bar.

BTW - that price is terrible for a Zumo. I got my Zumo 550 from PC Nation for $611 shipped to my door. Current price is $650-ish.
