Here's a two-tone silver 9S with very cool "shark gill" cut outs.

Thanks for that website. I love this bike.

I'm going to paint my airbox cover and maybe some other pieces. Not sure if I'll do blue or something else.

Do you need to sand the airbox cover or just scuff it with a scotch brite pad? I painted some plastic pieces on my truck interior that turned out great. I just sanded the plastic with 600 grit, then primed/paint and clear.

Well I couldn't find a blue I like, so i'm going to paint it a dark charcoal metallic. I'll post some pictures when done.

there is a specific type of primer to use on plastic, one that bonds to the plastic so it doesn't just peel off.

Maybe i'm just lucky or I prep really well, but i've never had paint peel off of plastic parts. I always sand first with 400 or 600 grit paper and use duplicolor automotive primer, paint and clear coat. I've only painted interior pieces on cars, but I don't see how this will be any different. The key is cleaning it really well before spray any paint.

Never thought of silver but that looks very good. I go nuts for white, but I have had that now for a couple of years. Maybe I'll go silver with my extra set of yellow. 2k3lightning who is "Perewitz" and how much did it cost? I'm in CT and once I had a job that I had 3 back road routes to work, one of which had a boni fide hairpin.

perewitz is a very well known custom painter. he's a fun guy to party with thats for sure.

it aint going to be cheap if you have him do it though, but it will be damn good though

Here is my old '03 9S. I miss it and wish I still had it instead of my XB12Ss. Person that bought it from me abused it and trashed it on a daily basis and that brought a tear to my eye.

2k3lightning... looks like your's is (was) a 9SL (low). The silver looks nice.

By the way, if anyone is interested, I'm selling my '06 Ss. 4175 miles. Excellent condition.
