Dyna,
You may be right!

Court,
Well, whatever, whoever sets the RSO, it comes from the factory. I have no control over it. That is what I meant to say.

Josh,
I agree ,is important that we get more dealers to actually push Buell products. If it takes letting a dealer that sells less units than others to win a contest then so be it. Maybe it will help in the long haul to get them pumped up about Buell!

Yes, I would've loved to have won, I didn't, not the end of the world.

Ride to the edge!
Still a Buell junkie even though I didn't win

I didn't win either but I was still wet behind the ears at that stage. now I am just damp behind the ears.
but if it makes a dealer get right with the buells good to go I'd say also.

get on your bad motor scooter and ride

Dyna, You may be right!

OMG I think he IS right !!

I would much rather see the salesmen who are genuinely excited about, promote and sell the most Buells, and that go out of their way to get the customer what they want win a trip like that !!

Give the others no one's heard of a plaque or something, good lord talk about a screwed up reward system !!

Maybe they should have had three categories:
1)Most improved sales
2)Most sales
3)Most innovative sales technique

It should not be the perks that excite passion in a salesman. It should be the product.

So whose the "better" dealer? The one that has only one or two Buell's or the one that more than they can sell? I chose the latter as the other could not move any product.

Dyna,
You posted while I was typing. I meant you might be right about the poster! Although I think some un-named people at Buell have seen my poster, complete with the caption and thought it was pretty funny! They missed a perfect chance to use it in one of the Buell seminars at last January dealer meeting in Orlando, it would've been PERFECT for the moment.

As far as the second post, well, what can I say. Rules are rules. I knew the score at the start of the contest and just needed to sell more bikes.

That brings up a question,
In the other dealerships around that all you Badwebbers go to, does one person sell all or most of the Buells or do all the salespeople sell an equal amount? I'm just curious.

Ride to the edge!

In one shop some sales critters will actually steer a Buell-interested customer away from Buells and take them over to the Harleys starting at the Sportsters and softtails. There are other sales people there that will take a customer wherever their interest is, Buell or Harley.

In another shop shop there are only usually 2-4 sales people on duty at any one time so they'll just stand around waiting for you to talk to them and won't make much effort to sell you anything unless you really want to buy and then they'll take the time to fill out the paperwork a little.

I've never actually seen a salesperson at a third shop somewhat near here. I assume they sell bikes there as there are usually two people at the parts counter and one or three mechanics out in the shop working on bikes.

In a fourth shop I actually found a salesman who would seek answers to a customer's questions from another salesman if he didn't know an answer.

Seems to vary from place to place. Sort of like jobs and life I guess.

Lothodon,

Go over to Doc's and talk to Kersten Hopkins about the XB12, I am sure she would be happy to sell you one.
