Do any of the dealers have XB12R Demo bikes? I want one but the deciding factor is if I can comfortably ride for three or four days. I would want to put 75 or 100 miles on it to make sure. Tillys's maybe? BuckinFubba, are your there? I can take a day off to ride up that way. Its only 4 or 5 hours from Charleston. The local dealer just got their first one, but it's not a demo, and I want to support a BadWebber if I can. I love my S1, but I'm not as tough as Newfie and the other long distance S1 riders. Not going to sell it, just find it another stable mate. (I've got a new 4 bay garage to fill) Any input from current owners would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Joel

Modesto Buell offered me demo ride on a XB12. I didn't want to because I felt I might want one. That wicked Modesto Buell, they demo'ed the XB9, and my S2 has bee siting ever since. Just got my XB9 1 1/2 months ago. At the time, I could not justify the $3K price difference. If I win the Lotto, I will have one though. Those Amber wheels do not do anything for me.

We have one, its not really designated as a demo yet but hell yeah call me and I'll take ya out on it. I am not sure if we can get that 75 or 100 mile thing in but maybe 35 or 40.
I can tell ya this...I rode my xb9r for 13 hours straight one day this summer. It was very comfortable. Probably the funnest ride I have ever had, all alone and lovin it. Heck and we all know I am an ol fat guy.

call me

Joel,

Lowcountry Harley in Charleston told me that they have a demo XB12S. I went by Sunday night a week ago looking for a brochure, and got there just as they were closing. I was admiring the new red XB12S out front, and they told me to come back on Tuesday and test ride it. They still have an 03 XB9S demo bike too.

I haven't been back to take them up on the test ride yet because I'm pretty afraid I'll be forced to do something I really can't afford to do right now!

Hugh,

I've bought three Buells from LowCountry but have not been impressed with their service. It's not their mechanic, Mike's the best around and knows more about Buells than anyone that I've met, but their management leaves something to be desired. But that's just my opinion. I rode the 9s for a few miles and it was comfortable, but the R seems a little bit more sporty. They have a 12R in the back that they have had for about a week but it's still waiting to be set up! WTF? They might sell some Buells if they really wanted to. See the above opinion on management. They will probably tell me they were spending their time fixing my duty motor and couldn't set it up.

Brian,
What are your hours, do you happen to be open on Sundays or Mondays? I'll try to call tomorrow when I get off work. The rain's supposed to clear out and have nice weather on Sunday. Good for a ride. My wife's bike needs the exercise.

Thanks for your input,

Joel

Brian,

Monday is Columbus day. Are you going to be open on this great day we set aside to celebrate the myth that Chris was the first European to set foot in the new world?
