My first bike, like everyone else, was a Blast. I loved it, until I blew the head gasket at 5300 miles. I replaced it with a Suzuki GS500.

The GS is okay, but it doesn't handle like my Blast. I want to start doing track days, and I'd been thinking about picking up another Blast just for the track.

Unfortunately, I went to a track day last weekend to watch, and pretty much everything there was at least a liter. This leads to a series of questions:

Am I going to get laughed off a track on a Blast? Am I going to have to rebuild the Blast engine on a regular basis if I use it that way? If the Blast isn't going to work, am I going to get that same incredibly flickable handling with one of the bigger Buells?

Get a Suzuki SV650. Just saw a race-prepped 2003 (with race and stock motors) go for $4000

Sky
Bounce this off that bunch of yahoos over in the Thumper Section. They can tell you all the ins and outs ups and downs and everything else about blasting possibilities!!
They'll have you on the track and dancing around oak trees if you aren't careful.

Rotzaruck!!

YES! You will get that same flickability with one of the larger Buells.

On that note, I have seen Blast at the track though, in the beginners group, passing a bunch of the 'Bigger' Buells! Had a lot to do with the lady driving it though!
