Picked up my 12R yesterday and she is everything I expected and hoped for. Did 100 miles taking her back home through some nice roads and except for the frustration of having to bed her in only had a couple of issues.....

First is the exhaust note. She sounds like a pussy cat! She replaces a Boxercup with race can so there is no comparison and she is even quieter than my 1150GSA with a Remus road can. That is going to have to change at the first service.....

But more importantly my little fingers cannot reach the clutch lever without difficulty (after 100 miles I was shying off changing down and doing clutchless upshifts).

I understand that you can slacken off the cable near the clutch housing and will probably do that short term. But is there an alternate? (why is the shape and angle of the clutch lever different to the brake?) Saw the American Sports Bike levers on the web - are they a solution?

Mind you don't end up with clutch drag. Try a lever off a jap bike. Kawasaki ZX fits my tuber, looks like it would fit my XB12 too.

BTW who did you get the 12R from, I've only seen them in Chapel Ash. Did Centurian get it for ya?

Got it from Harleyworld in Chesterfield. Was out for a ride on the GSA a few weeks ago and stopped in for a break. Saw an 12S and was smitten. Had previously been tempted by the 9R but resisted at the time....

... must have been weak at the time!!!

Adam, I feel the same way about the clutch lever. I got the adjustable lever from American Sport Bike in friday. I"m waiting on my service manual which is supposed to come in this week, before I change it. When I do, I'll let yall know what I think...
Oh,just from the looks of the new lever, it's got a different bend that looks like it'll be closer to the grip and it really looks like a well machined piece...

Okay, I put the levers on yesterday and got to ride for a short bit today. The brake lever makes a small difference but it is better than stock imo... But the clutch lever is MUCH better... The bend on both is easier for small hands or fingers to grasp and/or control... I'm glad I put them on and highly recommend them. If you've got smaller hands try them they're worth it...
