My friend just purchased a new set of Hero Blue rims from Buell. I am going to help him swap out the wheels from his 07 lightning long which are black (he will be selling these on bad web) anyhow, I need the size for the torx sockets that I will need to purchase, to swap out the front disk and also the rear drive pulley. Can anyone help with the sizes and where to purchase them.
Thanks,
JC

I want to say T55 but I can't really remember.

Best thing is to just buy a set. You'd need other torx sizes for various parts on the bike.

Hey there, on my 04' XB12S the Torx socket needed to pull off the bolts for the disk is a T40, I might recommend a good old American steel one for the job, for some reason I bought a cheapo chinese steel one from harbor freight and ended up breaking like three of them, do yourself a favor and buy a decent torx set

Yes buy a good torx set, I've stripped out the crappy chinease steal ones a dozen times and then end up striping the head on the bolt. Bought the best set I could find and no more striped bolts. Most the torxs on the buells are T27, Im not sure what size they are for the disks.

T-45 rear pulley
T-40 front and rear Rotors.
That's what they are on my 05 Bolt.

Thanks guys. Will check with Sears. I do not believe in buying cheap tools. Was hoping for the individual sizes. Thanks Wantxbr. I will email Evlxb when we get them off the bike and ready for sale.

If you buy a set from Sears make sure your set comes with the T-27 Torx Bit. Mine did NOT. It pissed me off when I found out the next day. It is the most common Bit you will be using.
