HD insurance. 800-832-4449. Got all my bikes with them, they shop to six or seven different companies and because of the volume they bring those companies, it's cheaper than going direct in many cases.

They have me with Dairyland, and aside from a goofy policy of not putting more than three bikes on a policy (requiring a split into 2, two-bike policies), the rates rock. The one that has a full-coverage Uly and a classic-coverage S1W runs me 240 a year. The one with the S2 and the FLHP is even less, they're both classic.

That's what I'm thinking.

Up until a month ago I was paying OVER $1000/yr. When I turned 25 it went down to $350-ish.

At 19, insurance on a sportbike for less than $700/yr is pretty friggin' good.

I have dairyland, and Live in Cloquet, MN and my premium is like 401 a year. I'm 30, but did have a dwi 3 years ago. I also think I have everything you can get for the coverage. So 360 is great. Wait It would have been around 360 if I took a riders course.

You guys have it pretty good in the US. With a discounts from being claim free, 10+ driving years experience, and pleasure use only I pay $1600/year to insure my Ss in BC... and that's cheap.

I'm in Ramsey, MN Progressive, $360 or $390/yr, 26 year old, XB9SX.

I quoted Allstate @ $750/yr

I think around the 360-400/yr is the best your going to find.

For progressive comprehensive (maxed out all coverages) but no collision, I pay $140/year for my XB9S. This is in Ithaca, NY for a 26 year old married male with no moving violations (on record anyway).

I must be getting ripped then, I pay 655 for the Buell and 459 for my Drz400 for full coverage. That is also with multiple vehicle and homeowner discounts. I'm 27 and have a spotless record. I called around two years ago and everyone else was in the 3k range for both bikes.

Insurance rates vary by state, followed by a whole lot of variables that would confuse the brightest of mathematicians. Good luck.

My insurace guy said that Minnesota rates are cheaper than most states because they figure in the fact that we only have about 5-6 months out of the year we can ride....true or not, I don't know, but it does make sense.

I have both, and I have towing and funeral costs and medical stuff, all the bells and whistles. No deductable, or wait maybe 250 or 500. Can't remember off hand.}

As a single 23 years-old male in Mankato, MN with a rather lengthy and spotty driving record I pay $390 for 12 months with full coverage, $250 deductible on both comprehensive and collision through Progressive. I paid in full at time of purchase. A bit surprised I was after talking to a buddy with an 03 sportster 1200 and learning I pay almost the same price for insurance on my 04 xb12r!

^^^Yeah, it does. Also, your credit score plays a larger role that I once imagined. Couple those two things with your driving record, the type of bike (amount of plastic, engine size, number of the same bike in previous accidents) and you have a pretty complicated risk calculation.

For me though, Progressive has been the cheapest for the past two years.
