I changed my rear tire today and when I was tightening the rear axle up the belt became so tight I could play Dueling Banjos. I know this isnt right.

Yes, I did check the pulley and read the manual after I reinstalled everything with no left over parts!

What the hell am I doing wrong?

same thing happened to me, check the front pulley, my belt was slightly up on the inside lip. my .02.

I went to the Buell dealer and checked out a new one. I guess I just forgot how tight it really is. So I let my girlfriend test ride it! Its all good.
