I'm considering swapping out my front fairing assembly from an R to S and am curious to know how much this would run - I suppose the instrument cluster and turn signals may be retained however the rest would have to be swapped out. Any references out there in terms of how much this would run with a new raised bar and triple clamps? For the tail section as well???

top triple tree, handle bar clamp, handle bars, ignition switch, headlights, S small wind screen and gauge mounts, you would also need to re-locate all your electronics that are mounted now behind your Rs front fairing

Kaudette:
Why don't you find someone that wants an R and trade them?
Seems like that would be the way to go.

Why dont you keep the faring and just change the riding position.

Anyone know of any other parts are needed or if cables and lines will need to be changed?
Does anyone know the difference in position from the r to s in inchs how many up and back?

The problem here is that I live in Europe so there are not a whole lot of Buell rides out there... especially to swap out - I am looking at a 12S but the problem is that the dealer doesn't want to do a trade in (even at below book) - what a guy - huh! (I've tried explaining to him that he would be making 2 sales et full book + some margin on mine - even if it took a few months to move - he just doesn't seem to give a toss - funny how he was so nice when I bought the first one...) I've been looking to sell at book - 5% but no luck yet... so this was my other option - but it depends upon budget (btw - I would buy the parts in the US and have my brother over this bring them over this Christmas...

Why not get the handlebar riser from American Sport Bike? Here is the link http://www.americansportbike.com/clickcartpro/cgi-bin/cp-app.cgi?pg=store&sub_pg =prod&ref=487. $295.

I spoke to one person who has them and highly recommends them. It would save you a big chunk of change and effort; that is, unless you are dead set on getting rid of the R fairing.
