After i put exhaust on the bike it started to run like crap. The trottle response is garbage, it is shooting some type of oil back into the air filter. Just wonder if after you put on the exhaust and filter you should get the fuel system looked at, and will it be covered under warranty. thanks

Ya after you change anything that deals with air flow, things will run different. I dont think it would be covered under warranty either. Unless you had a buell race kit installed at a buell shop then it might but dont count on it.

If you change the exhaust you need to install a K&N style high0flow air filter AND an ECM or Race Tuner of some sort to re-map your fuel system. That is why your bike runs like crap. You need re-mapping. You will damage your bike if not done properly.

I don't think there's remapping for 08 models yet. A K&N filter or Buell race filter would be an asset though.

From the profile I see you have a Special Opps. That works with the exhaust valve and stock ecm so it should work.
Have you gone on a ride long enough in the 3-3.5K rpm range for the ecm to learn?

I just read the "shooting some kind of oil back into the air filter" part.

That has me puzzled since the exhaust isn't part of the lubricating system.

Have you changed your oil recently?
If you over fill the swing arm it will blow out into the inner airbox/filter.

Won't you get a slight bit of oil in the filter box anyway? I was concerned with that myself. I bought my bike with the race can on it and when I had my tire changed a few weeks ago I had them do a little research and they claimed the ecm was tweaked as well. I'm told it's normal.

Yeah the dealership changed the oil not to long ago. I have gone on rides that are plenty long enough at the same RPM for the ecm to learn itself. It just doesnt seem to be getting any better. I love the bike but the 08 model just seems to spend more time in the shop than anything.
