I had the same issue that others have had, I blew out the spark plug on my front cylinder of my '04 XB12S. Took it in to the shop, they sent head to a machine shop to build up the thread again and reinstall. While it was in the shop, since it was almost due anyway, I had them do a 10k service. Ever since, it seems to be slightly lacking power, not much but doesn't want to pull up the front wheel on it's own like it used to. The other thing I noticed, which bothers me more so is that when I go full throttle into it in first gear, at about 6500rpm it just falls flat on it's face. Now I know the rev limiter is more like 6800, and before they did the work it would "bounce" off of the limiter not fall flat like the engine cut off everything. Any ideas, what would cause this? |

Did they do a TPS and AFV reset? Check for a chaffed spark plug wire. May have gotten damaged when the plug blew out. |

I've heard of similar things happening if they did the TPS reset without completely warming the engine up. It makes a big difference. |
