So I just got my bike about 3 weeks ago. ( XB12Ss)Looking at BadWeB XBoard most of what I see is need help trouble shooting this problem or that my bike is not doing some thing right. I have about 700 miles on my bike with no problems, and would like to know how many of Yall do not have problems and how many miles you have on your bike.

im at 7k and no problems yet other than i let it sit for a looong time and it took forever to get it to start. i recomend if its not being ridden to just start it up every once in a while and let it run for a few minutes. other than that no problems at all and i rag the everliving shiot out of mine! if you do exhaust hit up Randy Hawkins on here!(hawk performance) hes got the best price on a muffler and i like it more than any other muffler i researched! perf is great too. theres my 2 cents sir!

Barnyard-

Congrats on the addition to your family! Hope your Buell brings you much happiness. I have about 10K on my '05 City x. It's one of 5 bikes we've had in the stall since early '06, so its not my exclusive ride, but when I ride, if I'm not 2 up with the kid, its the bike I use the most.

No real problems with the bike, changed out spark plugs when we first got her home, had warranty work done with side stand, on 2nd set of tires, but I love her more now than the day I got her. Got Cortech bags for Mother's Day, got a select seat last fall for my 29th birthday and I would not hesitate to hop on her and ride up to MN tomorrow if I had the time and money. 66 MPG's on the highway, and she purrs like a little kitty cat at 70-75. B.

Barnyard, Keep in mind that there are a lot of people on this forum. How odd would it be if everybody started a thread stating that their bike still works great today!

Ive put over 3k on it in the last 3 months. coming up on 10K... All is well!!!

I have no regrets and cant even imagine riding anything else.

First, welcome to the madness.

Second, don't take fiveowejoe's advice. Starting a bike, esp a buell for a few minutes is a bad idea. It causes condensation in the engine, and is hard on the battery. Bikes don't charge batteries like cars do. The correct way to make sure she's ready when you are is most importantly a battery tender. they're cheap and do what they're supposed to, maintain proper voltage in the battery. If you're gonna park it for an extended period of time, top off the tank and and run some fuel stabilizer thru it on the ride home from the gas station. Mine sat in this condition from late october til april and started right up.

I've put a little over 6k on my bike since I've owned it. Bought mid January of this year. (15xxx) Not too bad I think.

No real problems. Just little mishaps. Like, torx bolt that held down airbox base broke off in frame, shifter linkage bolt vibrated out, clutch cable broke. Nothing too major.

My only complaint is that my right leg is seemingly on fire when it's hot out and I'm in the city riding.

Welcome to the board.

'07 XB12R, 7.2K miles and over a year later and almost all is well (to see a full list of the minor issues click on my name and look in my profile, nothing significant though -- nothing that kept me off the road).

Cheers!

03 XB9S
Well over 60K
Two stators went bad, I'm blaming that on the Mobil1 gear oil I used. Each stator got 20K.
Recently I broke the ECM connector during a spill in the hills.
4 belts, 1st and 2nd I killed the belt by mishandling, the 3rd, not sure why, probably one of the left over bad Gates belt. The 4th has way too many miles according to the book, but still looks good.
All problems have been my own doing.

13,500 miles
0 problems

Don't start it up and shut it down unless you like changing plugs. Just ride the damn thing.
