There are some Buellers over the pond that use them, and like them. I'd like one for sure. From what I hear, if you're only making intake and exhaust changes, this works really well. For engine work though, not so much. |

I was under the impression that ECMspy pretty much made the powerizer obsolete. I would think that the powerizer would be stuck with the same limitations that other add-on boxes have, that they can only add fuel and cannot take it away. I could be mistaken though. |

The Powerizer should make the fuelling perfect without using ECMSpy but you probably already know that? From what I have heard it may work better with the standard ecm & non standard muffler / air box / filter. I have Remus muffler, K&N filter, Race Ecm & Remus Powerizer but maybe I'm just a gluten. Also ECMspy but have only used it for TPS reset. I do think my bike runs smoother & crisper with the Powerizer & I was getting a slight surge in really cold weather before hand but not now. Not had my bike on a Dyno so no charts to show you. Obviously a lot cheaper to use ECM spy but I'm not game to play with things I don't understand properly yet plus I picked mine up at a really really good price. Very easy to fit & can be turned on or off to run with the standard settings. Probably not much help to you there but it's the best I can do.

The Powerizer is a straight 'plug & play' unit that needs no programming or dyno time, so has advantages over ECMSpy for those that want convenience and ease of use. For the majority of people who are just changing exhaust and filter, the Powerizer does everything that you would want in fuelling terms, and you don't run the risk of messing it up by programming ECMSpy, which can get very expensive! I have used various fuellers (TFi, Rapidbike, Power Commander, Direct Link) on our road & race Buells over the years and can honestly say that the Powerizer is the easiest to use and gives noticeable improvements for the least hassle. |

I got one last month from Trojan and it has noticeable results. slower speeds seem much smoother and overall ride improvement. very easy to install and would recommend it for its ease of use. |

Ryanhook, Did it affect the the mpg? I used TFi before. My bike went from 50+mpg to 30+mpg without any appreciable gain in power. So I took it off. Just wondering. |

What about the '08 Buells? Are those plug and play units compatible with the '08 ECM? |

I Have not yet been able to tell if the MPG's have decreased that much, but next fill up I will keep track and post results. as for power not sure if it was increased or if that is how it should run normally. but with my set up D&D K&N and race ECM after the powerizer was installed the midrange 3500 to 5000 rpm was like a different bike. |

ryan...you still get stumbling in that rpm range when you just hammer the throttle wide open? |

That range is where I felt the most improvement, a lot less stumbling and sputtering. It could be the D&D but anything after 5000 is very powerful. its hard to explain considering I have no other Buell set up to compare with. |

Matt, will the powerizer work with the tuber FI bikes? How radical can you go and the Remus box still work? Cams? Headwork? What do you know about how it works? Thanks, BR. |

Matt, will the powerizer work with the tuber FI bikes? How radical can you go and the Remus box still work? Cams? Headwork? What do you know about how it works? Thanks, BR. The Powerizer is only ilsted as fitting the XB series, although I beleive it will work on the X1/S3 injected tubers too. The Remus works really well with limited tuning such as exhaust/filter/airbox mods, although I have never tried it with anything more than that. In theory it should work just fine even with serious big bore and cam work etc, but most people who go that far tend to want manual control of fuel and ignition mapping anyway. The Powerizer is used on Ducati race bikes with good results even on tuned bikes, so there is no reason why the same should not be true of the Buell fitment.
