Kevin called me last week to tell me he was shipping my Drummer SS on Friday. It arrived yesterday, Tuesday afternoon, and it took me a little less than 3 hours to install. I printed out the directions from his website which were very clear and accurate. Fit and finish are excellent. The sound is exactly what I was hoping for. At idle it's very deep and smoother than stock. No potato-potato.... I took a ride today to train the ECM. There were no problems, the bike ran fine from the minute I started it. The power is very linear. I wanted lots of bottom end and got it. My Butt Dyno tells me so. 1st gear runs out very quickly, you almost don't need it. Good job Kevin. Thanks, Greg 2007 XB12Scg |

Cool, glad the SS is being made again. I was going to get one a while back but he had suspended production. |

I'm happy for you Speedway75. It gives me hope. If I may ask, how long did you wait? Just to give me an idea. |

Now that you have experienced the SS first hand, would you say it was worth the wait? Kevin's only one guy so it takes a while but from what I keep hearing about it, it sounds like it is most definitely worth it. |

Fourteen months. Worth the wait? Can't say. As a racer I normally want it yesterday but I seem to have gained patience as I get older. In my mind I didn't really have a choice. It was what I wanted and it takes what it takes, however long. Kevin wasn't able to tell me when I ordered it how long it would take and he refuses to make crap so we have to wait. At least I could ride my bike. I'll take some pics tomorrow if it's sunny and post them on the photo page. I've had a few other projects on the bike while waiting for the muffler. |
