First off, I'd like to put some shorty levers on my XB9R for looks, and the fact that my stockers hit my Napoleon bar ends sometimes. Anyone know what bike fits Buells? or a vendor that sells them maybe?

Second, I use my bike to commute, and latley with outside temps in the 90s it feels like i'm sitting on a ball of fire, especially my right leg. Anyone have any input on jet hot coating or headder wrapping and how well it works, or what's better?
Thinking I'll be getting the heat barriers for under the airbox and seat, but would like some more.

l've got the Pazzos and l love them. You can have the left one engraved for about $15. l've got "BUELL - USA" on it. The right one has pazzoracing on it from the factory. Very high quality items.

I run CRG levers on my 12R, love them. I think XBs share levers with '99-'03 R1s if remember correctly (95% sure I do). Personally I think Buell just needs to start delivering them from the factory with CRGs and Dark Horse Moto sliders -- talk about mandatory mods. The grips are crud too, but since the replacements are $16 I can't really complain about that one too much.

Heat issues, see SpecialOps (sponsor and run by a great member Odie), he has heat shields on his site, works great. As far as ceramic, I think you can talk to Al at American Sport Bike -- and for the money it is a great mod that will lower temps too and get your bike running even better. Personally, I would get both -- I will be too, right after a couple other mods (Scg tail and suspension top of my list right now).

Cheers!

I use my '06 XB12 as a commuter in Socal and the summer can make riding an ordeal in stoplight to stoplight riding due to the intense heat going against my right leg.
My solution is to wear flannel lined trousers which eliminates the discomfort and on 100 degree days are not uncomfortable; certainly better than the superheated air going against my leg!

Yeah, Special Ops, I knew it was a sponsor that made the heat pads, but couldnt remember the name.
I'll have to do some hunting on levers, If I can find them in my books I can get my employee discount through work, so hopefully the R1 stuff is right.

Flannel sounds ok, but not so much when i spend the day in them at work too.

Maybe some wrap will help out till winter when I can get it coated

I run CRG on my 06XB12ss, great quality and looks.

I am planning to wrap my headers, more for the look than heat, but I'm sure it will be cooler on the right leg.
