So this last weekend a friend and I decided to take a small trip to a town just about 1:15 hours away by car, but by bike....whole different story.
We hit the road at about 1pm and arrived to Dayton,WA. at 1:35. It was pretty crazy, and havent driven like that I years. There's several great reasons why, like the fact that I am on a probation period for a ticket I got almost a year ago now and after then it drops from my record. Second, I really do like life the way it is.
Anyhow, as Im leading my two man pack down the twisties and long straight aways, I come to a straight with a moderate corner ahead about 1/2 mile up. Im doing about 105 mph thinking about the up coming corner and the best line from what I remember about it. Just when a trooper comes out of the corner real fast with the lights going and the whole bit. I figure shit now Ive got two tickets on my record, and one possibly reckless. I slow to about 70 mph as the trooper get closer and I prepare to pull over. I notice the trooper seems to be picking up speed. Next thing I know he flies past me doing at least 100 mph himself. My buddy and I look at each other and I shrug my shoulders and carry on down the highway.
After wards, we have been in Dayton looking at the classic cars for about two hours and decide to ride back. We get to our bikes and start to pull onto the road when the same trooper is coming the opposite direction. I dont notice him right away as I pull out doing 10 over the 35 mph speed limit posted. Last second I see him when he is just about 100 yards away. What are the odds he's gonna past me this time? I slow right away and as I ride up to him he's slows to a stop and makes eye contact. I raise my right hand and signal showing him "I know I screwed up..again". I drive to an empty lot just 20 yards up and pull off the shoulder and the trooper is already turned around and on my ass. He hits his lights and punches it. I cant help but think what the hell is going on here? He flies down the road about 3 blocks and pulls over a mini van with clean cut "church going" type folks. Now I would like to believe that most would count their blessings and snail on home, BUT NO!! Im now bullet proof, invisible to the law and we manage to make a 1:15 trip a 25 minute trip instead. I did make sure my buddy lead home at least. But man, that was just insane now that I think about it all. I have definitely got the high speeds out of my system for a while. If my wife only knew what Saturday was about, I'd never see my bike again. FUN, but down right STUPID if you ask me....hmmm, it was still FUN!!

Ha..the best part is the beginning when they pull the teens over...that rocks.
But yeah, I couldnt believe it. I just figured this guy must like bikes. I found out that when my buddy and I got back and went our own ways that his feeding oil line had burst just before the pump. At least he was in town.
