Sorry about asking this more than once, I just never got a definitive answer. Are people that have front brake "tremor" or whatever you want to call it getting their rotor assembly replaced for free or not? My bike was built in September 02. I have 8900 hard miles on it since January. Getting new pads soon just for good meausure. I am going to the Southwest Torque Fest and want good breaks while I am ripping up the AZ asphalt.

Thanks, sorry for the inconvenience (sp?)

You didnt get one because there isn't one.

And yes, I know that is incredibly unhelpful.

I experianced a chatter in front break on my ducati as other ducati riders have, but I haven't heard this was common with buells. My 9S has 1800 miles now and haven't felt any yet. It was said about Ducs that if you were riding hard and then stop at a red lite and hold hot front brake on, the pad would mold itself to the imperfections of the rotor and then chatter. The only solution I've heard of is not to hold brake at stops. Changing pads will probably stop the tremor.

Ted,
How hard was that to convince them to do the new assembly? Thanks for the info everybody (except you Darthane).

LOL...well, I got a whole new wheel ass'y, I think XB9 did as well, but Shazam didn't.

(and there are plenty of people who think I shouldn't have, but I'm not arguing)

I will give my dealer a call and see what happens. If they can get it done right away then great, if not. Oh well, I will have to use compression to slow down more often.
