I only have 1 key for my bike and would like to have at least one spare. Anyone know where to get new keys made at. All of the local hardware stores don't have blanks of the right size.

An authorized Buell Dealer can get keys for your bike by just giving them the vin number. Takes a couple of weeks.

The key blank is an Italian blank used for cars and bikes. They are available on eBay under parts for Buell.

My hardware store doesn't have them either.

Ilco X270. Go to a real locksmith and they should have them.

You give em your key code off your key and $30.00 later you'll have two shiny new keys!

Hey, Bevis, are you thinking nookie or do you have information that the keys are indeed old keys?

I went through this shortly after I got my bike. I didn't like how the blue buell key hung on my key ring (yes I took my lumps on that one).

Well after some time with a knowledgeable locksmith, I found out a Volvo 240 key was a perfect match, only with a smaller head.

I bought a whole bunch of Ilco X270 keys for about $1/each. Had a key made for $1.25. Total cost about $2.25 a key.

Anyone want a blank key, send me $1/key with a self-addressed, post-paid envelope (each key weighs 0.6oz). I have 30 blank keys.
